Bathing your Shiba

As a rule of thumb, we say less is better. Shibas tend not to have an odor to them, even when wet. Their coats tend to repel dirt, and they are meticulous at grooming themselves. Rubbing them down with a damp cloth will tend to do the job 90 percent of the time. You will find that when your dog blows their undercoat, bathing your dog will speed the process of relieving them of their hair and help keep your house cleaner. We suggest using a cheap cream rinse and a dog comb with a warm bath and their excess coat will come out quickly. Once done with the combing, shampoo out the cream rinse and towl dry your dog, This will be followed by a mad dash (The Shiba 500) around your house by your damp dog.
