As you can see, the adult dog here is calm and not fighting his nail grinding. His first experience with the grinder was at 7 weeks of age and he has been regularly trimmed for 18 months. We use a corded Dremel grinder which can be found in most hardware stores. The corded Dremel has more power and does not slow down when grinding the nail. we use the finest grit sander barrel available and each barrel should last you more than a year. We find it easy to do this with 2 people, with one person holding the dog and giving treats and praise. It is possible with one person also. You can view a great tutorial here on YouTube.
